OuR nEw AdDiTiOn: ElLiE

On Wednesday we welcomed a NEW ADDITION to our little family... a CHIHUAHUA named ELLIE!

She is so adorable and we absolutely love her! She is 2 1/2 months old, not potty trained yet, but sleeps the whole night long if she is in her crate... what great training for us!

Family Trip to Lahonton & Virginia City

A few weekends ago my brother came home so we took a little family trip. First we drove to Lahonton to see how little water there was, since we only ever have been in the summer. It was kind of chilly and so cool to walk where we usually water ski!
This is taken where the water would be if it were summer.
My bro, Casey and Mom
This is kind of a cool picture, but it looks like Matt is peeing in the lake. ha ha
My Parents.
Matt & myself. As you have noticed there aren't any pics of Kelsey at Lahonton, this is because she stayed in the car shivering the entire time!
Virginia City. There were so many cars but didn't seem to be that many people. We ate at this little casino restaurant and we think all the food was purchased from WalMart, it was kind of weird. We walked up and down the street and went into most of the shops. I can't believe people actually buy things there anymore, it's all weird stuff. There isn't anything cool like when I was younger and my grandma bought me glass blown tulips! We did get some delicious fudge from Grandmother's Fudge though.
My sis & my bro entered the camel races in Virginia City.
So did my parents

But Matt & I won!

Joe and Megan's Addition

On our way to Whitney and Todd's reception (see post below) Matt & I had some time, so we stopped by to see Megan and Joe in Roseville.

On October 28, 2008 little Natalia was welcomed into their family and I was so excited to get to see her. She is absolutely adorable! It was great to catch up with Meg & Joe, especially since I haven't seen Megan since we got married, and to see the beautiful house they are renting.
Megan and Joe with their daughters, Isabella and Natalia
Sweet baby Natalia slept the entire time, aren't they good when their newborns!

Isabella is now a big sister, I wasn't really able to ask her how she felt about it because she was kind of shy the entire time we were there until I took this picture of her. She is so cute and you can tell she's had practice getting her picture taken :)

Whitney Gets Married!

A few weeks ago my friend and roommate from college, Whitney, got married in the Oakland Temple. Although Matt & I couldn't make it to the sealing because of work we were able to drive down for the reception in Turlock, California. It was so much fun to see Whitney and Todd so happy together... yippee for marriage!

Whitney and Todd we are so happy for you and hope you love every moment of eternity together!

The pic above is of Steph, Me, Whit, and Ash, we all lived together up at BYU-Idaho.
Myself and the happy couple.
Steph and Ash were able to go to the temple and then hang out until the reception.
I look hideous in this pic... but Whit looks absolutely gorgeous! She is such a beautiful bride.
Their cake was so cute and very tasty.
This little cutie was trying to flirt with Ash. He had just gotten home from his mission and we could tell that he definitely needed some practice on his pick up lines. Matt & I had a good laugh.

How to Get Rid of Hiccups!

So last night when Matt & I were laying in bed he had the worst HICCUPS EVER! He could not stop... so I proceeded to try out a little something on him.

I told him the following:

Picture 3 bald chickens in your mind, imagine their little bald heads and the three of them just sitting there. Then BANG (clapped my hands together) a car hits them and their feathers are flying everywhere in the air!

He thought it was totally ridiculous but guess what... he never hiccuped again!

Maybe you should try it sometime :)

Seasons Are Changing

Dressing Up for Halloween!
At work we were encouraged to dress up and decorate our cubicles. Employees were even able to bring their children for an hour of Trick-or-Treating. It was so much fun to see all of the cute kids in their costumes and to hand out candy.

I dressed up in my one piece pajamas with a bum flap... people asked what I was and I was kind of a baby I guess but I was really just myself about 20 years ago. It was fun to be in my PJ's all day.

Matt of course doesn't really enjoy the whole "dress-up thing" and was himself for Halloween!
After work Matt & I had one trick-or-treater at 5:45 and because we only have 5 pieces of candy in the house we decided to turn out all the lights and pretend that we weren't home. It was weird trying to get ready in complete darkness but we hurried and then we met my parents at Ruby River for dinner.

We hope you had a very Happy Halloween!

Carving Pumpkins!
We got our pumpkins a few weeks ago at Apple Hill and a few days before Halloween we carved them. I have to admit that carving pumpkins makes you feel like a kid again. It totally brought back memories of my dad helping me cut the top open because I wasn't strong enough and trying to brainstorm the best idea for a pumpkin face. Every year I have thought about doing a cool design but have never been able to because I feel bad if I don't give the pumpkin a face. This year I gave in once again. Matt did the cool skull and cross bones though...

The GUTS are so GROSS!

I used a pattern and wasn't very happy with how the face looked on my pumpkin, but at least he had a face!!

Saying Goodbye to the Wallace's!
Matt's sister and her family moved to Dallas last week and we were all very sad to see them go. A family from their ward threw them a going away party, so of course I took some pictures. It was a great way to say goodbye.

Matt and I chilled in the kitchen for a while talking with friends.

The kids had fun eating treats and making bead art.

Aaron, Paula, Megan, Jessica, Austin, Jocelyn & Sierra we miss you already and hope you are having fun in your new home.
