Stinky toes

Sometimes when my kids get cranky while I'm changing their clothes or diaper I will smell their feet and say "ewww stinky feet!" while my nose is scrunched up and they LOVE it. They laugh and smile and their frown has been turned upside down.

Tonight while Matt was reading scriptures and (Eliza was sitting on her little potty) Eliza was picking up Luke's feet and would say "eww stinky feet!" and he would laugh and laugh! She just kept doing it the entire time Matt read and they were having the best time! Little things like that make me so happy that I have chosen to have a family. I definitely wouldn't trade Matt or my two munchkins for anything in the entire world!!

Hide & seek

We are all obsessed with hide and seek at least once in our lifetime. Well for Eliza that time is now!

We play everyday at least four times. At first I hide, she counts "1, 2, 5, 8, 4, here me come!" and then as she's getting close she says "mommy where you?" and of course I say "Liza, oh liza" in whatever silly voice I feel like until she finds me.

Then she wants to hide in the same spot I just did. Or she wants me to hide again in the same spot but under her blanket. Lol because an adult under a blanket is as good as any hiding spot!

Last week I hid next to the laundry basket and put Luke in the basket. Eliza liked it do much she wanted in while I found her. By the time I got to the basket after counting she was done with that spot. Can't you tell?!?!

Gotta love her!

"Feed my baby!"

Two nights ago Eliza was supposed to be going to sleep but she kept coming out of her room. At one point we thought she was asleep and then all of a sudden her door handle started to twist and she said, "Feed my baby mommy." When she came out of her room her pjs were unzipped and she was carring her baby.

Matt and I were sitting on the couch and as Eliza approached us she said, "Feed my baby." as she brought her babies head to bare chest. It was too funny! I guess she just wants to be like her mom!

Having fun & Eliza at 2 1/2

On Tuesdays we have Joy School and on Thursday we have playgroup, the other three days we are hanging with our friends, running errands or doing something not so noteworthy... but some days we just sit in the kids' room and play. On this day Eliza got out the birthday supplies and Luke and Liza couldn't have been more fascinated with the balloons.

My two little ones are TOO cute. Eliza is about 2 1/2 and Luke is almost 10 months and they are BEST friends!
Eliza couldn't get enough of the tape. What a funny girl.

So what is Eliza like at 2 1/2 years old?
- Smart
- Silly
- Funny
- Dancing queen: We watched the new Footloose movie and Eliza danced for the ENTIRE movie. She loves to say, "I shake my booty" while she is dancing and it is HILARIOUS!
- Loves trying to sing hymns: Today she sang "My mommy, my daddy, my Lukey" over and over in Sacrament meeting during the songs.
- Doesn't want to go potty on the big girl potty
- Comes out of her room a billion times when she doesn't want to take a nap. When she is tired she is asleep in 5 seconds.
- When we put her to sleep she said, "No turn on lights" which actually means leave the light on. We have to turn off her bedroom light after she falls asleep.
- Loves playing in Ellie's crate, consequently so do all of her friends!
- Everyday she asks when she is going to see her friends. Then she starts to name them: Nah (Savannah), Abby, Raegan, Ella, Kylie
- Any word with a double "l" she sticks out her tongue multiple times during the "ll" part.
- Loves Mickey Mouse
- "Sure" is her favorite answer to a Yes/No question.
- Can count to 10 with help on 7:Yesterday we were driving in the car as a family and Eliza started counting. She got all the way to 6 and then started skipping through the numbers. That was the first time she counted all the way to 6 by herself. At that moment I was so proud and a little sad that my little girl is growing up :(

All in all, we can't get enough of her and we don't stop laughing when she is around. Eliza LOVES her Lukey and tries her hardest to play with him.

Family bike ride...well almost

On Tuesday we attempted a family bike ride. I really wanted to get frozen yogurt/custard from Yogurt Beach so we decided to try to ride our bikes there. Matt got all the tires pumped up and we got everything from the balcony, through our apartment, down the stairs and set up on the grass... WHAT A HASSLE! We even got Eliza buckled in and Luke in the front pack and as I started to peddle NOTHING happened. I mean my bike didn't go anywhere. After a little examination I saw that my chain was off.

I yelled over to Matt because he had already started riding and he circled back to get me. Just as he did his peddle fell off. The metal actually broke! So needless to say we never made it past our front lawn. :(

I did end up taking Eliza for a little ride around the complex and she wasn't too sure about sitting in the carrier. We tried to focus on the doggies and birds and she ended up being a good sport.

Above is a pic of Luke and Liza hanging out right before we DROVE to Yogurt Beach :) (Sorry it's small it's from my phone.)

Aces

Today we went to an Aces (semi pro baseball) game with some of our ward friends. It is an even that the Elders quorum has decided to do every year and it is quite fun. We love going to the game with all of our friend, eating lots of treats and playing in the kids zone... oh AND watching the game. lol.

Eliza LOVED eating the popcorn (shown on my lap in the pic above) This was also Luke's 1st time to an athletic even and he seemed to like it as much as a baby can. He got to meet another new friend, Grayson, that was born on the same day as Cooper (Cassie & Danny's little boy.) It is definitely a season of boys in our ward!

Eliza got to go in the bounce house over at the kids zone too. She was quite nervous but after a little coercion and finding some of our friends she went in. The person that was assisting with the bounce house allowed a bunch of littler kids to go in together so they wouldn't be trampled. After a few minutes Eliza was in LOVE. She would not stop bouncing... so much that she didn't want to get out when her time was up. All the kids except Eliza went up the inflatable stairs to ride down the slide. We had to ask the Bishop's daughter to go back in and help get Eliza out. Needless to say she didn't go down the slide, I just had to pull her out of the entrance. That girl definitely loves a good bounce house!

On our way back to our seats we looked for the Aces mascot (I cannot remember his name for the life of me.) I was said I didn't take my camera with me because he reaction was quite funny. After the initial shock of seeing a big red furry animal, Eliza gave (insert name of mascot here) a high five and just kept staring at him.

So even though we didn't watch the actual game that much, it was still totally worth the outing!
